. partly cloudy skies across the bay. dealing with fog once again over the north bay. santa rosa reporting fog this morning. visibility down to a quarter mile. cooling off to our dew point once again to parts of our north bay valley locations. we continue with this system offshore. you can see it here in the satellite radar. look at that spin. it really hasn't moved a whole lot. we don't expect it will from monday into tuesday as it does edge a little closer it will bring the possibility of a few scattered showers. today a little change in the forecast. some slightly warmer this morning. some slightly cooler with the clouds overhead in santa rosa. yesterday we had slipped back in the 40s. if you had been watching. here's our timeline into tuesday. that slight chance for some rain it looks like it will last into wednesday. this system will be moving along parallel to the coast as it progresses south and east. even a look at the forecast we will pick it upright about tuesday morning. we have scattered showers remaining off the coastline. we are a little cloudier. by tuesday night this wrap a

for the most part to start things out. the western half of san francisco. around the katabe plain in santa rosa and the east bayshorelines more clouds and much of marin, especially, the south bay waking up to sunshine and that is later in the day and as we approach the toll plaza at the bay bridge, it's overcast there. the weather headlines in the far east and by vacaville, the skies are blue and the sun is up. cooling trend, though, begins today and mostly sunny skies, later for everybody and there is that potential story fridays late tuesday and early wednesday. nevertheless, it's the first time this we're we -- year we look to get wet. and this weekend, flight week 52 -- fleet week. 63 degrees on the bay. looks like a nice day and flying. and heaped mostly sunny after starting out partly cloudy. this is the low pressure that is in northern california and that is moving closer to the shoreline and slowly. it will make the landfall late tuesday, south of the bay area and the moisture to the top of the low could produce's few showers late tuesday and on wednesday and today, we'll go mild and ou

warmed up a bit more. santa rosa mid90's. livermore last hour was 97 but going up to around record territory. with in the past few minutes, 99 livermore and san jose at 89 degrees earlier today. as far as temperatures right now it's still hot, still in the 90o's again. there is that 99 in livermore. concord 95, san francisco misting but mainly in the upper 70's. once again with this hot weather pattern in place air quality has been coming down. the spare the air day for tomorrow. the third day in a row unhealthy for the sensitive groups, the north bay, eastern district and the santa clara valley. around the moderate level. the on shore breeze near the immediate coast and bay. overnight first thing in the 50s to around 60. mild start for monday and another warm to hot day in the forecast for monday. that means temperatures inland approaching 100 degrees. i'm tracking a cooldown coming newspaper a few minutes. we will look at the time of that and when temperatures back down to the 70s and 80s. >> city leaders in richmond say they have big dreams for a green tech center and they need

satellite and radar image. you see the clouds will begin to build in to the santa rosa area in the overnight hours. we have the offshore flow continuing for the most part. what's happening is we have an area of low pressure and it's just mixing up that marine layer along the immediate seashore. what does that mean for that right there the hardly strictly bluegrass at golden gate park? 61 degrees were a combination of sun and clouds. now, tomorrow meanwhile temperatures are going down in comparison to today because we have the influx of that cloud cover from the trough that's just lurking offshore. 50s at the beaches, 60s across the bay, 70s los altos, 74 degrees in morgan hill and upper 60s in fremont, union city and milpitas. these are some of the warmest temperatures east of the bay inland. 75 degrees in brentwood five degrees below normal for this time of the year. 72 degrees in dublin. and the winds will be relatively flat until late day beginning to pick up out of the west 10 to 20. low 70s in santa rosa for a high and 60 in san fran

for santa rosa. >> the dodge charger swerved off of the road and crashed on the fence. we know of at least one shooting victim. all have been taken to oscar for treatment but we do not know the extent of the injuries the, police department is in charge of the investigation. as for who fired at a red dodge trucks are, the police forces as they do not know. >> right now we have the charger with multiple blowholes and injured occupants. we do not know much more than that at this time. we do not know if it was an exchange of gunfire only directed at the charter. >> obviously, if you were in the area and saw what happened, bell monopolies need you to call them immediately. right now, the freeway is open, all four lanes. at one. southbound 101 was closed but only for about a half hour. you want to avoid this area if possible. the 101 no. was slow for quite some time as well. as of right now, forensics was on scene. the belmont police department is on scene check in for some of these things and examining the carpeted your in this area and saw any but related issue and called police. >> the oak

. we're in the 40s and 50s. 43 in santa rosa, 55 in san francisco to start. and here's what we're looking at. area of low pressure has just been sitting and spinning offshore. as we head throughout the next couple days this guy finally arrives and we're expecting our first showers this morning. as we kick off rush hour at 7:00 a.m., already mostly cloudy conditions from novato down to san francisco but watch what happens between 7:00 and 10:00. that's right, a little rain band moves through so you might want to grab that umbrella sfr san francisco down to san mateo. by noon we'll see the system push back out to sea as high pressure builds in from the midsection of the nation. by tomorrow that system of low pressure moves all the way inland. high pressure finally breaks down. we're talking about hit or miss showers just about all day long throughout your tuesday, especially at the coastal cities and along the peninsula, but highs are going to be just about perfect all week long and you're not getting a whole lot of separation between your temperatures that you get right at the c

rosa. beautiful sunrise from san bruno. now we're getting that gorgeous sunrise here in san jose. so grab your jacket as jacket weather ha returned. you can see a little light activity in san francisco as we speak. we'll get more throughout the day today. if you live south of san mateo, even in the east bay, you don't have to worry about getting rained on at this point. an area of low pressure has been sitting and spitting offshore over the course of the entire weekend. this will move inland tonight and tomorrow but an outer band of rain will push onshore today. between 8:00 and 10:00 we're expecting rain from san francisco down to san mateo. as we continue throughout the day, by about noon we'll clear your skies out. we'll get a gorgeous sunrise this morning. the official time is 7:11. 65 degrees in san francisco today, 70 in los gatos and 67 down in santa cruz. if you're looking for beach weather, we've got it for you just around the corner with a warmup on the way after we get through these showers. 70 degrees. that's all we're expecting tuesday into wednesday inland. you'll strug

in and just to give you some examples, santa rosa was in the triple digits on tuesday and then this afternoon's highs only in the low 70s. so it's going to get cooler still by saturday and sunday. we're beginning a cooling trend. we'll have the seven-day forecast with a slight chance of rain so stay tuned for that. in the meantime, let's go to gianna talking about major bart delays. >> and a couple of accidents on th freedoms. bart delays continuing from an earlier problem of a maintenance vehicle stuck on the tracks in oakland. everything is cleared but they are trying to get things back on time of . they are hoping to wrap things up by 6:00 but not the case so bart delays continue. give yourself an extra 20 minutes at least. these delays are systemwide right now. we'll continue to keep you updated on that. now, elsewhere we have an accident westbound 580 just as you approach the dublin interchange. it is blocking the right lane and you can see on our sensors here traffic is back up through the area. live look at conditions at tassajara. stop and go as you work your way westbound 580 approac

officially hit 70. and santa rosa you hit 102 three days ago. you hit only 68 degrees this afternoon. and you will drop down to 48 tonight. napa chilly upper 40s. san rafael 50. redwood city 53. and livermore 53 degrees your overnight low. so something has to be changing. believe it or not. the same area of low pressure now giving us the cool weather was the same one that was down off the southern california coast that counterclockwise flow giving us the offshore wedged. so all it did was move we felt got a different wind direction and you're feeling the change with morning cloud cover and lower temperatures. low pressure will be offshore on the weekend enhancing of the pacific ocean influence giving us even cooler weather and cloudier weather. then by the top of next week low pressure is going to be right over top of the bay area. that's going to give us a shower chance for the first widespread shower chance in a while coming up next monday and next tuesday. so what to expect? a lot of cloud cover each morning. you will get some afternoon sunshine. it will be cloudy to start. weekend will be

numbers running into the 60s and 70s in san leandro and before 9 in santa rosa. next couple of days a little unsettled into tuesday and possibly wednesday morning. then we dry things out and another storm drops in friday bringing in another chance of a couple of raindrops into the bay area. elizabeth that means you could get busy. >> it's already busy this morning. we are following a couple of different incidents. for some folks it's a holiday so traffic patterns may be different than usual. let's look at the bay bridge toll plaza. we are seeing good sized delays in the cash lanes. and by a good size i mean for this time of the morning so it is stacked up looks like pushing towards the middle closer to the end of the lot but yeah the fastrak lanes are still doing fine if you are heading into san francisco. we'll let you know as soon as they turn those metering lights on and our delays continue to grow. in the meantime san mateo bridge traffic this is problem- free has been so far this morning. this is a live look at westbound 92, 14 minutes still that drive time out of hayward towar

areas, that is the biggest drop there, san francisco only 74, today 62, santa rosa is 85, today 73. from hot to cool there in two days, just two days ago it was 94, as you saw yesterday 74 and it dropped to 62 so it doesn't take long but late in the year for the fog but still there and a lot out there around 2000 feet, 50s, 60s temperatures, not moving much. when you get a breeze for some out to fairfield travis airforce base thy miles per hour, high pressure building north. we are concerned with this low spinning here and all signs point towards this low drifting towards us and being right over the bay area by sunday. it doesn't have moisture but it does have an influence on our weather with a cooler pattern, as long as that is in the picture and close now and high pressure moves out we got that and that and highs 60s and 70s and breezy for most. today good by to these after then. 60s, 70s, most, those are your temperatures in those areas. 50s, 60s, coast, city, south san francisco and peninsula low 70s now. continuing on that cooler pattern, friday into saturday, maybe break up of that
